The AARP Smart Driver Course, offered by AARP Driver Safety, is designed especially for drivers age 50 and older. The course incorporates adult-learning principles, features reader-friendly print types, full-color pages, an easy-to-follow format and videos to supplement course content. It provides new opportunities for participants to learn state-specific information throughout the course in a way that is easy to access and understand. Finally there will be additional training concerning roundabouts, pavement markings, stop-sign compliance, red-light running and safety issues such as speeding, and seatbelt and turn-signal use.Library: Henrietta Hankin Branch Library
This is a two day course. The second class will be held on Tuesday, the 21st at the same time.
Registration is required. You only need to register for the Monday class, but you will need to attend both days. Participants will need to provide a check, payable to AARP Driver Safety Program, the first day of class. AARP Members pay $19.95. Non-AARP Members pay $24.95.
