For 3, 4 & 5 year olds with caregiver. Join a naturalist from Green Valleys Watershed Association for these FREE educational programs. Each class includes interactive demonstrations, animal biofacts, puppets, a story and take-home craft. Each theme offers different activities, so sign up for one or more! Winter/Spring 2017 Schedule:
January 20 - "Nature's Treasure Hunt." Uncover interesting facts and fun that nature holds with stories, visits from our puppet friends, and a scavenger hunt for your own treasure!
February 17 - "Fur, Feathers and Scales." Discover the differences between our furry, feathery and scaly friends through sensory activities, puppets, touching real animal pelts and feathers, and more!
March 17 - "Bird Basics." Discover the many bird species that make our community their home. Learn some common bird songs and calls, examine feathers, and use different tools to discover more about these amazing animals!
April 21 - "Colors of Nature." Why do animals and plants have different colors, textures and patterns? Our puppet friends, examination of furs and shells, and an art project will help us find the answers.
