Sisters in Crime: The Toxicology of Plants & Poisons

 The Delaware Valley Sisters in Crime invite professionals in various fields to come discuss topics pertaining to crime. Many of them use the sessions as research for mystery novels, but the meetings are open to the public.

This month's speaker will be Amanda Haggerty Pacana, an expert on toxicology.

About Amanda Haggerty Pacana, MSFS: Amanda is currently an Analytical Toxicologist at the Armed Forces Medical Examinerís System (AFMES) in Dover, Delaware as well as a part-time lecturer for Rutgers University-Camdenís forensic science masterís program. Her primary role at AFMES includes data review and drug monitoring of military and civilian populations. Her current research interests include novel psychoactive substance abuse and cannabidiol (CBD) treatments. In her free time Amanda enjoys going to the gym, playing with her puppy and cats, and a good winery.
