4-H Science Saturday: Exploring Engineering Design

Event Type: School age
Date: 11/16/2019
Start Time: 9:30 AM
End Time: 3:30 PM
Description:
Have you ever wondered why we find is fascinating sometimes to watch machines work? They can be so complex and must do exactly the right thing to get the correct outcome. Some machines are built to do jobs quickly and efficiently where others are made to do their job in a theatrical manner. Rube Goldberg was well known for his wacky inventions that utilized chain reactions that culminate in accomplishing a typically simple task. These simple yet innovative machines must be planned out with each step being properly recorded so they can be repeated. Join us to create a spectacle of a machine.
