 January 31st Party Etiquette (Common Courtesy Kids) 3:00 to 4:00 pm
Using interactive games and role playing techniques, children will appreciate and understand the importance of applying good manners to their lives.
Children will be taught a variety of party etiquette skills that may include:
First impressions - handshakes, eye contact, posture
Polite Gift Giving and Receiving – choosing a gift, appreciating a gift, showing gratitude
Table Manners – setting a table, polite eating, American style dining

February 7th Budgeting and Planning a Valentine’s Day Party (Franklin Mint) 3:00 to 4:00pm
Students will discuss what it means to create a budget. They will look at various types of budgets: home budget, gift budget, and a party budget. They will participate in a Valentine’s Day Party planning activity where they will have to figure out what items fit the best within a budget.

February 14th Wants and Needs (Valentine Party) (Franklin Mint) 3:00 to 4:00pm
Students will discuss the difference between a “want” and a “need.” They will be asked to imagine themselves in specific situations where they have to decide between wants and needs. They will evaluate what is most important to them and what impact their decisions will have on the. Students will then enjoy the Valentine’s Day Party!

February 21st Savings and Checking Accounts (Franklin Mint) 3:00 to 4:00 pm
This lesson will help teach students about the differences between a Savings and a Checking Account. They will learn the difference between a Debit and a Credit Card, learn to write a check, and discuss investing. They will learn to track their spending with a n activity that helps them balance a checkbook.
