 Description: An advanced introduction and broad overview of basic spreadsheet concepts and their many uses, consisting of user-friendly micro lessons covering the creation and formatting of basic charts and graphs of various types, including the use of data inputs, conditional formatting, and other features. The instructor will also provide tips for best practices when creating charts and graphs in Excel.

Prerequisite: Basic computer skills, file management, and basic or intermediate Excel. Participants should bring a notebook and a USB thumb drive, and may bring their own laptop.

Paul Celentano has created from scratch Excel spreadsheets for documentation, data sorting, and contract document specifications, as well as calculators for time sheets, electrical loads, batting averages, and trigonometric functions. He finds them particularly useful for personal purposes when making side-by-side comparisons for shopping or the cost analysis of repair projects.
