The Reason for a Flower

Event Type: School age
Date: 4/13/2019
Start Time: 2:30 PM
End Time: 3:30 PM
Why do we have flowers? Can flower weigh as much as a tortoise? How do seeds "travel"? Would a snake eat a seed? With the help of some live and taxidermied animals, we will explore the answers to these and other questions and delve into an amazing array of seeds: one as big as your head, a few tinier than sand-grains, and everything in between--even some that smell! Presented by the Delaware Nature Society. This program is in collaboration with the Longwood Gardens "Community Reads" program.
