The Armchair Traveler: In the Wake of Lewis and Clark

Event Type: Adults
Date: 2/7/2019
Start Time: 6:30 PM
End Time: 8:30 PM
Don't miss returning speaker and traveler Dick Calef as he takes us on a "cruise" down the Snake & Columbia Rivers on a paddle-wheel river boat in the wake of Lewis and Clark. Discover the history behind their journey and learn about the Native peoples and many other unique aspects of the State of Washington that even the local folks are likely unaware of. This one-hour presentation is a pictorial, with photos that capture the spectacular scenery and highlights of the Northwest that early pioneers Lewis & Clark saw during the last leg of their historic "Corps of Discovery" journey (1804-1806) to find a route to the Pacific Ocean, at the request of President Thomas Jefferson.
