Start Time: 7:00 PM
In 1728, John Bartram created America's first botanic garden at his home on the bank of the Schuykill River. Over the years, Bartram's Garden would prove to be the center for nurserymen and naturalists to meet and discuss their findings, a tradition that continues to this day. This presentation will discuss the impact of the Bartram family on the scientific community of historical Philadelphia and beyond through their travels and writings.Library: Kennett Library
