 David Walter will speak on "Chester County's Civil War Generals: They Marched Where Duty Called." Local historian Dave Walter presents the stories of the Union Army generals who had close ties to Chester County. Several were killed in action, one won the Congressional Medal of Honor, and those who survived went on to continue serving their country, and communities.
Walter is a member of the Westtown Township Historical Commission; an officer in the Brandywine Valley Civil War Roundtable; author of "Stars and Bars Over Philadelphia," an historical novel based on Stonewall Jackson's plan to invade and subdue the North. This program supports the PA Forward Civic and Social Literacy Initiative.
